Dog mourns endlessly hugging the pillow of deceased older brother

Spencer and his older brother, Rocky, had a special bond for ten years and lived happily with their family. According to their owner, Beth Fisher, Rocky and Spencer were best friends.

They did everything together. They ate from the same bowl, slept in the same bed. They were inseparable. Fisher told The Dodo that they never spent a night apart.

Sadly, the family received heartbreaking news from the veterinarian; Rocky had developed a rapidly growing cancerous tumor.

At that stage, it was too late for treatment. Sadly, the only option was to put Rocky down so that he wouldn't have to suffer. It was a sad day for the family, especially for Spencer.

When Rocky died, Spencer wandered around the house, looking for his older brother and crying when he couldn't find him. Sadly, he would do this every night and start crying. The family decided they had to do something to help Spencer cope.

So, they had a personalized pillow made with Rocky's face printed on it, and it has definitely helped comfort Spencer since his older brother passed away. Now, Spencer sleeps with the pillow as if he is sleeping with his brother again.

Today, Spencer carries the pillow with him everywhere and cuddles with it all day. He is still grieving the loss of Rocky. However, having the pillow with Rocky's face on it has helped ease Spencer's sadness.
